Theodora Van Dun
From my background in Cultural Anthropology, Theology, Spiritual Coaching and Mental Health Care, in The Netherlands and the UK I have been gathering knowledge and experience in the fields of spiritual rituals and retreats for 14 years. I walked my own path into many different fields and over many obstacles to be where I am today. From here on out I will teach, promote and organize in order to help as many people as I can to live from the heart and feel joy, peace and abundance in all aspects of life.
Theodora has a background in Cultural Anthropology, Theology, Spiritual Coaching and Mental Health Care, The Netherlands and the UK. She has been gathering knowledge and experience in the fields of spiritual rituals and retreats for 14 years. Walking her own path towards trust and comfort in life, she is now willing and able to help others do the same!
In my life 3 separate paths have converged.
The first path started when I was quite young, all I wanted was to read books and gain knowledge and discover some truths about humanity and life. I went to the University of Amsterdam and studied Anthropology. I graduated with a Masters in Practical Theology. I had learned how to understand humans and what the meaning and dynamics of culture and religion mostly entail and am still fascinated and discovering more and more every day. The second path started when I was 18, psychiatry and mental wellbeing. I have worked for almost all my adult life in the field of mental health care as (among other) a caretaker, (spiritual) guidance counselor, host or receptionist and am always looking for new ways to approach mental wellbeing.
The third is spirituality, religion and the soul. I was baptized as a Protestant, researched evangelical, pentecostal and monastic Christianity in Uni, got in touch with and practiced Buddhism for a few years and after that followed some courses in shamanism, mindfulness and self development in different countries and by different teachers. I have repeatedly found the same answer in this search: the only Truth resides in each and every human being as much as within myself, which in one word is: Love.
Now, at the age of 32 these three paths converge and form the clear path I have landed on, where i found myself in line with the DHRIM foundation mission. I use my academic background, mental health care experience and spiritual strength to promote, coach and teach in order to help as many people as possible reach their own Inner Truth. I feel lucky, privileged and honoured to do this work.
